SocioTech Innovation4Change
Our Mission – To promote context-specific actions towards world-class health and sanitation conditions in Indian cities, towns and villages
Who we are?
Sociotech Innovation4Change is a Private Limited Not for Profit – Incorporated under Section 25 of the Companies Act of 1956 working towards finding solutions to the gigantic problem of waste management and sanitation in India.
Our Origin
With rapid urbanisation, India is facing massive challenges in waste management. Sanitation coverage is incomplete and toilets lie abandoned. Incentive programmes like the Nirmal Gram Puraskar have only had partial success.  What can we do to bring about complete sanitation coverage along with effective waste management in India? These are the central queries and questions that have led to the creation of Sti4change and defined our purpose.
Focus Area
At Sti4Change our key areas to drive change are issues relating to waste management and sanitation.

Sangeeta was such a pleasure to work with! We were performing an internationally-funded university research study on the state of Biotechnology in India and her work for us enabled the study to be taken care of quickly, smoothly and professionally. Sangeeta interviewed several Indian Biopharma companies on our behalf and also with us during our visit as well as helping to coordinate the data management. She also took care of making contact with many of the companies up front and arranging our schedule of visits. Sangeeta has a true desire to bring about social change through her work and it is inspiring to work with someone like that.

It was a pleasure to have worked with Sangeeta on an interesting project last year when we undertook an action-research study across schools in India. Our primary objective was to evaluate what was taught in middle school about waste management, sanitation and hygiene. It was an enriching experience interacting with schools and staff about this and gathering data for analysis. This research study was very insightful and gave us the proof that a lot leads to be done to include waste management as part of the school curriculum and prepare our next generation to be more socially responsible citizens.Would like to thank Sti4Change for giving me this opportunity, to be a part of the study. All the best to Sti4Change for all the future projects!

I have been collaborating with Sangeeta for over a decade now. She has worked with me on both pure research (e.g. strategies of biotechnology companies in India) and applied research (e.g. innovation in sanitation) projects. Furthermore, we have also worked together to organize conferences and workshops. Her dedication and passion to each of these projects has always been of the highest order and the final outcomes have uniformly been of excellent quality.
